motor scooters which to buy?
iwhich is the best brand to buy? vespa, honda? or any other
If it says “Made in Japan” somewhere on the engine, it’s a good machine.
DO NOT buy Chinese.
DO NOT buy from a web site.
Vespas are quality.
Best to buy a brand with good dealer support (able to get parts and service close to home).
Otherwise you’ll be driving all over to get parts & repairs.
Hondas are cheaper than Vespas and are awesome. Plus Hondas run forever as long as you keep up with them. Meaning Honda doesn’t make lemons really.
I have a honda metropolitain, and it’s great!

Which ever you deside to buy, buy only from a dealer that Offers service, the internet is full of very good deal,s but Dealers will not service or repair about 90% of them.
so you are limited to a very small amount, Honda, Susuki Yamaha, Vespa are your best choices. The Top of the Line in Scooters is Vespa, they have been around sence Dirt, Very reliable, make sure their is a dealer with a service dept, Personly Id go with Vespa,
we have a Vespa Dealer that also has been around sence dirt.
But that,s me.

I drive a Yamaha Vino 125 2007. LOVE IT!!! It will go up to 65 mph, but that seems a bit too fast to be traveling on 10 inch wheels.
I go mainly to work and back, short shopping trips (have a basket on the back for groceries). It gets 85-94 mpg. Holds only a little over a gallon. It looks similiar to the vespa, in that it is a step through scooter.
Much less expensive, and really just as cool, especially for your first scooter. If I continue to love scootering, I’ll probably get a Vespa in the next few years. Requires a MC license in Texas. By the way, I’m a 50 year old woman.

Vespa has a great reputation, and a high price tag. Part of the price is the all-metal body on the scooter, and part of the price is the cachet of having an Italian scooter with a long history. They’re well made if you have the cash to spend.
If you’re looking to spend less, you can look at Honda, Yamaha, Genuine, and Kymco scooters. All of those brands have good repuations. One important factor to consider with any scoot is whether there’s a dealer near you to provide warranty support, so start with brands that have dealers and a service department nearby when you’re researching.
I don’t recommend 50cc scooters, they are usually limited to about 40mph. However, if you don’t want to get a motorcycle license, some states (not all) will let you drive a 50cc scooter on a regular driver’s license.

Here is how Scooters are ranked now. Piaggio and Vespa are the highest rated scooters in the world. Followed by Kymco. All of these are better than the Honda or any of the jap brands. Kymco is not a Chinese company.
