what are some american gas motor scooter companies?
I want to get a gas powered motorized scooter (street legal) and i want to buy from a Japanese, European, or American company. So I would like to know of some American companies. I think suzuki, kawasaki, and honda are japanese correct me if i’m wrong but if any of them are american what are some other ones.

Polaris? I am not sure if they make scooters but they are an American company and you can go to their website. I own several of their ATV's and they are well made and offer some features the other brands do not.

if you want a scooter as large as a motocycle & costs as much as one, you have a choice of 2. Bergman by Suzuki and SilverWing by Honda. Just like motorcycles but no clutch. $5000.

Sorry to say. There are NO American-made motor scooters. Hasn’t been since the mid 1960s. The two companies were “Cushman” , which produced them in the 1930s-1960s(?) and were sold through “Sears” Department stores and Mail order; under the “Allstate” label.
Oddly enough, Harley Davidson had their own scooter called, “The Topper”. Funny thing about the Topper, it had a lawnmower type pull-string starter. Unlike the Cushman, that has a kick starter.
Most of the newer modern motor scooters are from overseas.
If some tells you that brand new scooter is American made. Don’t buy it, literally!(Most likely someone slapped a label which is common nowadays).
